Don Gordon

Don Elliot Gordon 1937-2017 A native of Louisville, MS and resident of Grand Bay, AL died on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the age of 80. Mr. Gordon was a veteran of the United States Navy in the Korean Conflict and served on the USS Laffey. He was employed at Ingall's Shipbuilding for 39 years serving in several different capacities as an engineer. There was nothing that he didn't know how to repair. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Waters Gordon. He is survived by his wife, Simone Ezell Gordon; four children, Terry Gordon, Donna Landry, Jay (Dana) Gordon, Eliot Gordon; two step children, Donna (Allen) Davis and Beverly (Harold) Fancher; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren; faithful caregiver, Brittney Manley. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 1:00 PM from First Baptist Church of Grand Bay, AL with visitation beginning at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
