Donald Edward Perez, 85
Donald Edward Perez, formally from Mobile, AL., passed away in Tampa, FL, Saturday, November 4, 2017.
Donald was born May 9, 1932 in New Orleans, LA to Clarence and Eula (Richards) Perez. He graduated in 1954 from Tulane University with a degree in chemical engineering from the School of Science and Engineering. Donald was employed as a chemical engineer at Ciba Geigy and retired to focus on his passion for home building. Upon retirement from home building he moved in 2015 to be near his family in Tampa, Florida. All who met Donald loved him and knew him to be a kind and gentle man who loved his family, pets, chocolate and Alabama football.
Donald is preceded in death by Clara R. Perez and Carole M. Perez. Donald is survived by his three children, Kathy Perez Baker (Patrick) of Memphis, TN, Karen Perez Leonardo (Joseph) Tampa, FL and D. Mark Perez (Val Webb) of Foley, AL; five grandchildren, Kevin Baker (Noelle) of Waco, TX, Allison Baker of Memphis, TN, Laura Baker of New York, NY, Gregg Leonardo of Chicago, IL and Matthew Leonardo of Tampa, FL.
A celebration of life visitation will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, November 13, 2017 at Little Flower Catholic Church, 2053 Government Blvd., Mobile, Alabama, 36606 followed by services at 11 a.m. Father John Lynes will be officiating. Burial at 12:30 p.m. will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens, 6100 Three Notch Road in Mobile.
