Donna McMullan Hodges born in Meridian, MS and a longtime resident of Mobile passed away on Tuesday. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Harold McMullan and Edwina Glasscock McMullan and sister Diane McMullan. Donna is survived by her daughters, Sandra Hodges Yessick Duane, Carey Hodges Chad, and Jacquelyn HodgesMarshall Brent two sisters, Mary Mickey Harris Ross, Mountain View, CA and Susan Petty, Tuscaloosa, AL, six grandchildren , one greatgrandson, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Before her illness, Donna was coowner of Hodges Body Shop in Mobile and one of the original owners of Tacky Jacks on Cotton Bayou. Donna was a sweet, compassionate, humble and caring soul. She never met a stranger and her smile was contagious. Donna was courageous and spirited especially during the last years of her life, which were made difficult by a long illness. Her strength was an inspiration to all that knew her. Donna found great joy in her loving daughters, grandchildren and other family. Visitation starts at 9:30am on Saturday July 5, 2014 with service being at 10 all at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
