Doris Bowman

Doris Oneida Therrell Bowman died of natural causes Monday April 8, 2019 at the age of 100. She was born in Whistler, Alabama to Marguerite Vivian Therrell and William Herbert Therrell.
B married James Edward Bowman of Eight Mile, Alabama. She was a homemaker and mother of three children.
B was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two children, Albert Leon Bowman, and Sharon Louise Mendyk Bowman; two brothers, Robert Dodd Therrell and William Armstead (Bud) Therrell; five sisters, Francis Vivian Niedhardt, Mamie Lillian Biggs, Betty Marguerite Dyess Feroumont, Georgia Ellis Lewis, and Peggy Joyce Woodson Tatum.
Doris Bowman is survived by a son, Edward Ross Bowman; one brother, Herbert (Sam) Lyle Therrell (Nancy); five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bowman resided on Old Citronelle Road in Eight Mile, Alabama for approximately 70 years. In 2014, due to failing health, she moved to Monroeville, Alabama where her surviving brother and his family cared for her until December 2018. She then moved to a health care facility in Mobile where she resided until her death.
A private graveside service at the Whistler Cemetery will be held at a later date.
