Mrs. Iva Doris Stacy Cole, age 88, passed away Monday. She was born in Ringgold, Georgia to John and Elizabeth Stacy. Mrs. Cole was a resident of Mossy Head, Florida. She was Baptist by faith and a member of First Baptist Church of Mossy Head. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She enjoyed playing Bingo. She was the past President and life member of the VFW Post #49 Mobile, Alabama, Lady's Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #883 Mobile, Alabama. Mrs. Cole is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence Cole, her brother William Stacy and her sister Eleanor Hursey. Mrs. Cole is survived by her one son Frank W. Cole and wife Dianna of Robertsdale, Alabama, three daughters Betty McCormick of Mobile, Alabama, Linda O'Briant and husband Bob of Mossy Head, Florida and Janis Walker and husband Larry of Loxley, Alabama, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Visitation services will be held 10:00~12:00 PM, Friday, October 21, 2016 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Graveside services to follow at 12:00 noon at Mobile Memorials Gardens, with Rev. Jeff Copeland officiating. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
