Doris Diamond

Doris Lauber Diamond, age 92, a native of Mobile, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Doris's life was dedicated to her family and friends. She was greatly loved and respected by the many individuals whose lives she touched. Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Andrew Hubbard Diamond and son-in-law Timothy David Barbour. She is survived by her daughters; Sylvia Diamond Gray (John) and Andrea Diamond Barbour; grandchildren, Ashley Gray Smith (Reggie), Michael Wayne Kittrell, Jr. (Joy), William Andrew Gray, Lauren Barbour Jones (Daniel); great grandchildren, Megan Kittrell Basilio (Alixandre), Elizabeth Grace Smith, Avery Elizabeth Gray, Michael Wayne Kittrell, III, Walker Richmond Jones; brother, George William Lauber, Jr.; numerous other relatives and friends. The family would especially like to thank Doris's loving and faithful caregivers Margaret Collins, Altonia Gullett and Zelda Smith. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Monday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials may be sent to Grace Lutheran Church, 1356 Government Street, Mobile, AL 36604.
