Dorothy Louise Anderson Miller, a native of Meridian, MS and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed into eternal life on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the age 92 after a brief illness. She was a loving wife and mother. She loved the Lord and lived a full life that blessed her with a wonderful family and an abundance of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Everett Miller, Jr., and her sister, Alma Jane Cox of Surfside, Florida. Her survivors include her three children, Milton Everett Miller, III (Kathy) of Birmingham, AL, Gregory R. Miller of Mobile, AL and Deborah M. England (Paul) of Monroeville, AL; six grandchildren, Brooke M. Stubblefield (Russell), Brittain M. Allred (Major) and David A. Miller (Emily) all of Birmingham, AL and Jacob R. Miller (Angela) of Mobile, AL, Gregory C. Miller (Kelly) of Daphne, AL and Coleman A. Miller, of Mobile, AL; seven great-grandchildren, Laura Brittain Stubblefield, Russell Miller Stubblefield, Brooks Major Allred and Knox Allred, all of Birmingham, AL, Abigail Elizabeth Miller and Jackson Robinson Miller of Mobile, AL and John Carter Miller of Daphne, AL other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are her grandsons and Robert "Bobby" T. Curtis and Douglas Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers are Patrick England, David England, Douglas Ankersen, Greg Coss, Keith Marston, Major Allred, Russell Stubblefield, Harry Martinez, Ernest Knapp, Sonny Hughey and Norwood Hill. The family wishes to thank the staff at Brookside Retirement Community for the loving care she has received over the last eight years. Also, a special thanks to Dr. Gerry Phillips, Terra Parnell and Dr. Russell Hudgens for providing her with such wonderful health care and more especially, for their friendship. The family asks that in lieu of flowers you make a donation to the charity of your choice, or to The Gideons International. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Those attending the service are to meet at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home by 9:30 A.M Tuesday. A memorial service will be held at Brookside Community Chapel Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 12:00 Noon. The family will receive friends at Brookside from 11:00 AM until service time.
