Dorothy Simmons Parrott, age 88, of Mobile passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Springhill Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Mobile and was an avid University of Alabama fan. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubry and Daisy Simmons and her brother, Buddy Simmons. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Mathhues; sons, Richard Parrott (Diana) and Donald Parrott (Tracey); 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; sister, Melba Buchanan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Tuesday from 1:30-2:00 p.m. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
