Dorothy Simon

Dorothy Jean Simon - age 83, a native of Mobile, departed this life peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2023. She loved spending time with family and friends, cooking huge meals in her kitchen, and fishing on the river.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy E. Piburn; her father, Early West; two sisters, Brenda West and Ann Piburn; two brothers, Eddie Piburn and Bob West. She is survived by her two sons, Larry (Melissa) Kennedy and Richard (Angela) Kennedy; two grandsons, Nathan (Kim) Kennedy and Blake (Mariet) Kennedy, and one granddaughter Jaycie Finch one great-granddaughter, Alyssa Kennedy; three sisters, Linda (Ed) Harwell, Marlene Arcement, Karen (Steve) Bander, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dorothy's dear friend Linda Perry and the staff at Allen Health and Rehabilitation for the ongoing care and kindness they extended over the last several months.

Visitation will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M., and a Graveside service will follow at 10 A.M.
