Dorothy Hearn Thomas of Mobile, AL passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Franklin Hearn, Sr. and Carrie Eugenia Hearn; her husband, Clarence "Scroochie" Thomas; her daughter, Brenda Parker Andrews and grandson, Terry L. Cooper, Jr. Her survivors include her daughters, Wanda (Alvin) Robinson and Sheryl (Terry) Cooper; her sisters, Elizabeth (William) Brantley, Ruth (Danny) Balzli and Carol (Charles) Mills; five grandchildren, John Baxter, Jamie (Brady) Warren, Sonja (Anthony) Knowles, James Clinton Walker and Jessica Cooper; eighteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and a special friend, Jeanette Richardson. Pallbearers will be Brady Warren, Carson Warren, Anthony Knowles, Kaleb Knowles, Joshua Knowles and John Baxter. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry L. Cooper, Sr., Isaac Luna, and Alvin G. Robinson. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 8, 2018 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
