Duane Shipman, Sr.

Mr. Duane "Sonny" Allen Shipman, Sr., age 83. A former
resident of Mobile and a longtime resident of Fairhope passed
away on Thursday, July 2, 2015. He was a faithful member of 3
Circle Church in Fairhope, owner of Shipman Electric Company
and served in the US Coast Guard. He was preceded in death by
the mother of his four children, Claire Kimberl Shipman. He is
survived by his wife; Livvy Shipman; nine children, Duane Allen
(Nancy) Shipman, Jr., Frances Kay (Bucky) Drain, Nancy Jean
Shipman, Kimberly Claire (Tim) Aldridge, Lisa (Dennis) Davis,
Shannon (Edward) Turk, Heather (Brett) Deslonde, Jennifer
(Wayne) Sirmon, April (Stephen) Davison; twenty-two
grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; a special lifelong
friend, Glenn Schechert from Poulsbo, Washington and nieces,
nephews other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be
held on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of
Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held
on Monday 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be made to 3 Circle Church in Fairhope,
10274 State Hwy 104, Fairhope, AL 36532.
