Eddie Weed, age 82, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, November 11, 2019. He was born on August 9, 1937, in Hudson, N.Y., to Hayden and Evelyn Batbrick Weed. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for over 18 years and retired from Degussa chemical plant where he was a general foreman for 20 years. Eddie was a loving father to his son, Steve, and his stepchildren. He enjoyed traveling, watching old westerns and sports on TV. He had a very special place in his heart for his fellow servicemen and veterans and showed continued support to the Wounded Warrior Project. In addition, he was very passionate and supportive of the orphanage in which he and his siblings lived for several years in New York. His hope was that others would show love and support for these causes as well.
