Edith Deese

Edith Claire Colvin Deese passed on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 in Mobile, AL at the age of 93. She was born September 1, 1926 in Mobile, AL to the late Peter James Colvin and Ella Frances Spottswood Colvin. She was the youngest of three children and was preceded in death by her brother, Peter Colvin, and her sister, Eileen Lazzari. Edith married the late Victor Earnest Deese in 1946 and 7 children were born of this union. She enjoyed attending Holy Family Catholic Church. She graduated high school in the year of 1945 in Quincy, Massachusetts. Edith leaves to cherish her living memory her children, Thomas (Abby) Deese, Howard (Aileen) Deese, Ronald Deese, Stephen (Teri) Deese, Janet (Robert) Donahue, Christopher Deese and William Deese; many grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
