Edith Jobe

Edith Raybon Jobe, age 88, went to Heaven December 21, 2022 at home in Mobile, AL.

Edith was born in Wilmington, NC April 5, 1934, to Elisha and Blanche Stanley. She was a Mobile, AL resident for 52 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elisha and Blanche Stanley; and her brothers, Joseph Bridger, Frank Stanley and Robert Stanley; and her husbands, John R. Raybon, Sr. and Weyman E. Jobe.

She is survived by her children, Allen Ray Raybon (Lynn), John Reuben Raybon, Jr. (Renee’) and Sheila Raybon Johnson (Buddy); 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Edith loved her family and friends. She was a longtime member of Christ United Methodist Church. She loved to travel having seen most of the United States and numerous countries in Europe. She was an avid gardener always having a beautiful yard.

Visitation will be at the Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on January 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with services beginning at noon. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
