Edith Ganelle "Nell" Ross Owen, a native of Evergreen, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, went to be with the Lord Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the age of 79.
Nell enjoyed the beach, shopping, traveling, and was an avid Alabama football fan. She attended Westminster Presbyterian Church and Myers Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Norris Owen, Jr.; her parents, Herman Kimbrel Ross, Sr. and Melba Ruth Pitts Ross; and her daughter, Sandra Mann Seibert. Her survivors include her children, Glenn N. (Leigh Ann) Wilson, Sr.; Genevieve Morris, William N. (Bonnie) Owen, III, and Mary Claire Owen; 9 grandchildren, Megan (Michael) Golson, Glenn N. (Summer) Wilson, Jr., Lindsay Seibert, Brad Seibert, Lauren (Chris) Stiles, Cathy Owen Dew, Genevieve Morris (Terry) Buckner, Thomas Morris and Billy Owen; 4 great-grandchildren, Emma Kate Golson, Leighton Seibert, Mason Stiles and Carson Stiles; 2 sisters, Carol Ross (Jimmy) Harris and Judy Ross Freeman; one brother, Herman K. (Ellen) Ross, Jr.; son-in-law, Barry Seibert; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
