Edly Alvin Pat Lewis, 91, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014 after a brief illness. He was a member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church for 57 years and retired as Business Agent for Brick Masons Local 2. Pat was a WWII Veteran and was a part of the invasion at Normandy. He will be interred with military honors. He loved spending time with family and friends. His parents and all of his siblings preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Clara Lee Pierce Lewis his daughter, Pamela LewisJohnson his granddaughter, Megan Johnson his greatgranddaughter, Abby Conn other relatives and friends. A special thank you is given to Matt Brown RN of Gentiva Hospice for his dedicated care and family support. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Mr. Lewis name to Volunteers of America, Eagles Landing, 6501 Moffet Road, Mobile, Alabama 36618. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 29, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
