Jean Hughes Newberry Wilson, a longtime resident of Mobile, AL, born August 3, 1938, left this earth to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 2, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Newberry, and her parents, Allen W. and Ida M. Hughes. She is survived by her husband, Kennis E. Wilson; two children, Wayne (Christine) Newberry and Philip (Wanda) Newberry; three step-children, Panda Wilson, Ken (Kathy) Wilson and Scott Wilson; 8 siblings, Wanda Crawford, Dot (Richard) Culp, Herbert Hughes, Linda (Gilbert) Courchesne, Wesley (Debra) Hughes, Haskel (Larie) Hughes, Lloyd (Terri) Hughes and Leaida (Kennith) Neely; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
