Ellis Gene Anderson, a native of Coffeeville, AL and longtime resident of Theodore, AL, died Wednesday, January 13, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erskin Ellis Anderson and Louella Hare Davis. His survivors include his wife of 60 years, Elfriede Margarete Traxel Anderson; his son, Fred Wayne (Regina) Anderson; one sister, Mary E. (Joe) Fisher; two brothers, James C. (Jean) Anderson and Bobby R. (Loyce) Anderson; two grandchildren, Gregory Jason (Larissa) Anderson and Matthew Stephen (Wendy) Anderson; one great-granddaughter, Ansley Marie Anderson; other relatives and friends. Funeral services, officiated by Brother David Gill, will be held Monday, January 18, 2016 at 10:00 AM from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening January 17, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Theodore, 7125 Bellingrath Road, Theodore, AL 36582 in Mr. Anderson's name.
