Elton Trawick, 97, a native of Lucedale, MS, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019 at a nursing facility in Marietta, GA.  Elton lived in Honolulu, HI for 53 years and worked on the ramp of a major airline company until his retirement.  He was an avid vegetable gardener and enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Simeon Simpson Trawick and Eugenia Sanders Trawick; three brothers, Horace David Trawick, Glessner Trawick and Alton Trawick and two sisters, Maxine Balzli and Voncille Kidd and one grandson, Michael Allen Jenkins.  His survivors include his wife of 74 years, Nettie Marie Rouse Trawick, five daughters, Theresa Jenkins of Dallas, GA, Barbara Hasebe of Honolulu, HI, Esther Davenport of Acworth, GA, Sylvia Montee of Hartly, DE and Naomi Rouse of Mobile, AL; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.  Funeral services will be held Friday, July 12, 2019 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday morning from 10:00 AM until service time.  Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.  Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
