Emmett Keller

July 16, 1941 — June 9, 2017

Emmett August Keller 1941-2017 Emmett Keller passed away peacefully into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, June 9, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Thelma (Luft) Keller; daughter in law, Kristi Keller; granddaughter, Faith Keller. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 plus years, Carol Wells Keller; three loving sons, Paul Keller, Louie (Casey) Keller and Claude Keller. Four grandchildren, Tiffany (Sean) Aldridge, Corinne (Garner) Wilson, Caleb and Nora Keller; one great grandchild, Jack Wilson; sister, Charlotte (Michael) Cassidy; special sister and brother in law, Sandra and Reggie Jones; niece, nephew and cousins. The family would like to give thanks to God for St. Joseph's Hospice. They covered Emmett with such excellent, loving care, Chaplain Bob, Sam, Libby, Laura, Rorie, Denice and all of those who filled in for them, also Emmett's own angel Michelle. We love you all. Special thanks to Dr. T.A. Blessey and staff who began this journey with us, also to Barbara A., Ms Joe, Barbara H., Jeanne and John, Susan and Terry, Doris and Ron, San, Reggie and Wanda for everything. To our church family, Theodore United Methodist Church for surrounding us in love, prayers, cards and food. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 12:00 Noon from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, officiated by Chaplain Robert "Bob" Barr, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Smith, Terry Brown, Johnny Keller, Mark Pearson, Mike Hudson, Bill Webb and David Melton. Honorary pallbearers are, Lamar Bonner, Reggie Jones and Ron Pearson. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made in Emmett's name to Theodore United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 608, Theodore, AL 36590 or St. Joseph's Hospice, 23 Midtown Park West, Mobile, AL 36606. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
