Esther Van Veelen

An 81 year old resident of Mobile, Alabama died on July 1, 2022 in her own home after extensive health problems. Esther was born in Sturgis, Michigan on May 14, 1941 and raised in Ashley, Indiana. Esther was a devoted wife and mother of three children. Esther was a member of American Legion Post 88 Women's Auxiliary and served admirably as Auxiliary President for many years. Esther is preceded in death by her husband Evert and is survived by her three children; Kimberly Volk (Chris), Michael Van Veelen and Kevin Van Veelen (Karen Reitz) Esther has one grand child, Maggie Bacon. Family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on July 8, 2022 from 11:00-12:00 with services following at 12:00. Interment will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations in Esther's name at Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org).
