Ethel Howard

September 3, 1941 — May 3, 2019

Ethel Cornelia "Connie" Vaughn Howard stepped into Heaven on May 3, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tim and Lena Vaughn, and by her beloved husband, Gene Howard, Jr.

Connie is survived by her five children, Gene Howard, III (Susanne), Tim Howard (Dorothy), Stephen Howard (Leslie), Jonathan Howard (Kara) and Jennifer Everhart (Brandon); her twelve grandchildren, Abbie Holmes (David), Anna Horton (Jeremy), Austin Howard, Blake Howard, Mykah Howard, Madison Howard, Meila Howard, Riley Howard, Caedon Howard, Lilly Howard, Karly Howard, Mercy Rose Everhart; her great-grandson, Abraham Horton; her siblings, Ray Hardy, Sr. (Judy), Eloise Thompson and Geraldine Hunter; other relatives and friends.

Connie was a long time member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church and treasured her years of serving the Lord in the choir and missions. She was fiercely dedicated to her family, and a wonderful friend to many. Gene and Connie were married 45 years and we rejoice that they are reunited.

The celebration of Connie's life will be held in the Chapel of Cottage Hill Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, with visitation from 10:30am - 12:00pm, celebration service at 12:00pm, and interment following at Mobile Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, Connie has requested that donations be made to the missions ministry at Cottage Hill Baptist Church, or Cottage Hill Christian Academy.
