Etta Tanner

Etta Mae Tanner Aug 8, 1929 - January 6, 2017 A native of Lucedale, MS and resident of Mobile, AL died on Friday, January 6, 2017 at the age of 87. Mrs. Tanner retired from Mobile Infirmary in 1994 where she was an OR Nurse. She was a member of the Mobile Retired Nurses Association. She was a long time member of Emanuel Baptist Church where she was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas N. Tanner and a grandson, Charles Fitts Morrison. She is survived by her children, Donna (Eric) Fagerholm, Douglas (Lisa) Tanner, Jr and Denny (Connie) Tanner; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from Emanuel Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Emanuel Baptist Church, 5601 Zeigler Blvd, Mobile, AL 36608 or Infirmary Health Foundation.
