Mrs. Eula "Clyde" Reed, passed away in Mobile, AL on December 24, 2021 with her family by her side at the age of 97.
She was born in Covington Co, AL on September 9, 1924. Mrs. Reed graduated from Pleasant Home High School in Andalusia, AL and then moved to Mobile, AL where she worked at Brookley field as a radio technician. She met her husband, Paul G. Reed, Sgt. USAF at Brookley and they were married for 62 years. Mrs. Reed enjoyed bowling in a seniors league for many years. She loved to crochet and was very talented but modest in her love of painting with oil. She attended Woodridge Baptist Church and made some wonderful friends through her Sunday school class. Mrs. Reed will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit and her love of family. She never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Lula Mc Lellan; husband, Paul G. Reed; son, Michael B. Reed; siblings, Verlon, Hinton (Gene), Clinton (Ann), Glen, and Annette Eady Koerber (Dale).
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Joanne Thompson (Ray) of Mobile, AL; son, John Reed (Mai) of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Grace Foreman (Roy) of Andalusia, AL; grandchildren, Guy Thompson (Darlene), Marc Thompson (Crystal), Lesley Foley (Jason), Christopher Reed (Michelle) and Cameron Reed; great-grandchildren, John Raymond and Joshua Reed Foley, Savannah Grace Thompson, and Jasmine Lany Reed; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Services will be held Monday, January 3, 2022 at Mobile Memorial Gardens with visitation from 11:00am until the graveside service time at 12:00pm. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
