Evelyn Cannon

Evelyn Vaught Purvis Cannon, age 90, passed away peacefully June 17, 2014. She is preceded in death by her two husbands, Roy W. Purvis and George T. Cannon, Sr. and her stepson, George T. Cannon, Jr. She is survived by two sons, Charles Debbie Purvis and Ben Sandy Purvis one stepson, Roy Nancy Williamson three stepdaughters, Kathy Don Pipkins, Lisa Kenny Strong and Linda David Wilton numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and friends. Evelyn retired from the Mobile County Public School System and was an active member of her church, Luke 4:18 Fellowship. She lived her faith on a day to day basis and taught us how to live our lives by the example she set. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services, officiated by Dr. Fred H. Wolfe, will be held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from l:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.
