Evelyn Rider

Evelyn Grace Rider, 78 of Loxley, Al passed away July 28, 2018. Visitation will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday Aug. 2, 2018 at 12:30 for family. Friends at 1:00 and graveside service at 2:00 in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
Evelyn was born in McKenzie , Al Feb. 16, 1940 to Obie & Pauline Bowman. She was the 4th child of 12 children. She was a very gifted and talented seamstress and could sew anything. She operated her Custom Drapery Shop from her home in Mobile for many years.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years , Hank Rider, their infant daughter, Paula Anita ,her parents; Obie & Pauline Bowman, brothers; Curtis ( Peggy) Bowman,
Roy ( Carolyn) Bowman, George Bowman; Sisters; Betty (J.C.) Sims, Virginia ( James) Godwin, Jeanine ( Gerald) Stringer.
She is survived by sisters, Kathryn ( James) Robinson, Ruth ( Horace) Simmons; brothers, John( Marlene) Bowman, Eugene ( Jan ) Bowman , Harvell Bowman.
She is also survived by sons, Lee (Kristin Clark),Allen Rider, and Brenda Puckett ( Dwain) Grandchildren; Jennifer Puckett Neidhardt ( Shawn), Allison Puckett Chase ( Brad), Jackson Rider. Great grandchildren-Kaitlin, Kennedy, Karsen & Brady Chase, Viveigh & Deacon Neidhardt and a host of nieces and nephews.
