Faye Annette Lyndall died in her home on February 11, 2023 following a lengthy illness. She was born in Mobile on November 3, 1940 and attended Mobile parochial schools including Bishop Toolen High School. She began working in a civilian capacity at Brookley Field Air Force Base before beginning her career working for the City of Mobile, where she gave more than 30 years of dedicated service. She retired from the City's Architectural and Engineering Department in 1998 before returning in a number of supernumerary positions for multiple departments. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, George Thomas "Tommy" Lyndall, her daughter, Patti Lynn Lyndall, her son, Gregory Thomas Lyndall, her parents, John and Grace Strickland, sisters, Mary Callaghan and Linda Bodiford, and her brother, Tommy Strickland. Mrs. Lyndall is survived by one son, John Daniel (Kristen) Lyndall, one daughter, Kelly Lyndall (Scott) Weir, and sisters, Jeannette (Ray) Tanner and Margaret Battle.
Mrs. Lyndall was affectionately known as "Bungy" to her grandchildren: Taylor Lyndall, Brannon Lyndall, Christopher George, and Holly Marie Harris of Mobile, Shelby May (Jeremy) Barron of Birmingham, Lindsey Turner of Georgia, and Tyler (Shelby) Niblett of Delaware; and to her great-grandchildren, Kaden Frey, Harper Lyndall, Raylee Eden, Brantley Lyndall, and Jaxson Harris. Mrs. Lyndall loved her children and grandchildren dearly and wanted nothing more than to be around them as much as possible. Please join the family in celebrating her life on Saturday February 18, 2023 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Services to follow immediately after. Pallbearers are Danny Lyndall, Scott Weir, Taylor Lyndall, Brannon Lyndall, Christopher George, and Tyler Niblett.
