Fenella Lee Powell Thomas, a native of Ward, Alabama and resident of Mobile, AL for 62 the past 62 years, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the age of 84. Mrs. Thomas was a member of Seven Hills Baptist Church. She retired from Providence Hospital and Mobile County Public Schools (Baker High School) as a cafeteria worker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, L.C. Thomas; her son, Henry Thomas; her sisters, Johnnie Mae Stewart, Katie Duke and Peggy Jones and her brother, C. B. Powell. She is survived by her children, Lee (Harriett) Thomas, Michael (Vicki) Thomas and Rose (David) Gibson; her sisters, Inez Radcliffe and Faye Leddon; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Bridget Thomas; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
