Flora Elizabeth (Beth) Dunnam, 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2015, at her home in Gulf Shores, Alabama, after a hard and courageous fight with cancer. Beth was born March 12,1943 in Bowling Green, Florida, the daughter of the late Bennie Frank, and Bertha Mae Cotton. Beth married Troy H. Dunnam, Jr. in 1988 and shortly thereafter started quite the adventure, together, of working and moving around the United States. In 2003 they moved to Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Beth stopped traveling with her husband to be "Nana" to her grandchildren. If you asked her, Beth would say her greatest joy in life came in being with those she loved. Beth was preceded in death by her brother, Bennie Joe Cotton. Survivors include her husband Troy H. Dunnam, Jr.; brothers; Jimmie L. Cotton (Susan), G. Windell Cotton (Areca); daughters; Sheri L. Dunnam, Deborah L. Wright (Larrie); step-children; Troy A. Dunnam, Sr. (Deirdre), L. Alan Dunnam (Kristine), F. Karyn Natella (Joseph), Jason E. Dunnam (Laila); grandchildren; Lauren E. Beck (Brandon), Tyler H. Dunnam, Kylie E. Wright, Ella M. Wright, Christie M. Dunnam, Troy A. Dunnam, Jr. (Laura), Chase R. Dunnam, Aaron B. Dunnam (Lani), Rachael L. Hartman (Brandon), Kellye M. Smith (Matthew), Katheryn E. Dante (Diego), R. Emily Dunnam; Nickolas B. Dunnam, Zackary G. A funeral service honoring her life will be on June 3rd at Mobile Memorial Gardens, Mobile, Alabama. Pastor Charlie Stafford will officiate the service. Family and friends will be received from 9:00am until service time, 11:00am.
Our family wants to express our sincere gratitude to Springhill Home, Health & Hospice, as well as to all those that helped Beth during her valiant battle with cancer. Words cannot express our appreciation.
