Frances Ann Ellis Orso, age 85, of Whistler/Eight Mile, Alabama, passed away Monday, August 6, 2018 in Semmes, Alabama. Frances was born in Philadelphia, Mississippi on September 7, 1932. She attended C.F. Vigor High School in Prichard, Alabama and worked for Gayfer's Department Store in Mobile, Alabama for 17 years. She was a faithful member of Crawford Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama.
Frances is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, James C. Orso; children, Deborah Orso Faust (David), Jan Orso Eyler (Gary) all of Semmes, Alabama; four grandsons, six great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Troy Hickman Ellis Sr., a sister, and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilefuneralservice.com.
Due to family allergies, in lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Crawford Baptist Church.
