Frank Keene Bunkley, Jr., a native of Girard, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Monday, January 25, 2016 at the age of 96. Mr. Bunkley owned and operated Bunkley Tax Service from 1963 until his retirement in l987. He was a WWII US Army Veteran; a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church and Past Post Commander of VFW Post 49. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Keene Bunkley, Sr. and Martha Gibson Bunkley; his wife of 72 years, Ruth McBeath Bunkley; and his sister, Jean Bunkley Cook. His survivors include his two sons, Frank Keene Bunkley, III and William R. "Bill" (Georgia) Bunkley; five grandchildren, Frank Keene (Karen) Bunkley, IV, Charles Bunkley, Frances Bunkley, Michael Bunkley and Kimberly (Trey) Cavadel; ten great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 12:00 Noon from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
