Gary Morgan

Gary Winston Morgan, 73, of Mobile died of natural causes on 12/31/2023.

He was born in Mobile in 1951 to Minnie Floriline Morgan and Obie Morgan. Mr. Morgan attended Vigor High School before Joining the Army. He was honored to serve and defend our country. After his honorable discharge from the Army, Mr. Morgan Attended Southwest State Technical College for Electronics and served in that field for several years.

Gary was passionate about his role as a long haul over the road tractor trailer truck driver as he would describe his job title. He quickly rose to the position of trainer and provided knowledge and skills to hundreds of aspiring drivers before retiring with over twenty years on the job.

Gary was an active member of Overeaters Anonymous, devoting time and energy to helping others. Gary spent more than forty years focused on the OA group and made many good friends during that time.

Everyone who knew Gary knew how much he loved to study health and nutrition. Gary made sure that everyone knew what supplements and vitamins their body might need under any circumstances

Gary will always be remembered for his kindness and love for family and those around him. We couldn't have asked for a better uncle or friend, and will miss Gary every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother Minnie Floriline Morgan, father Obie Morgan, brothers Calvin Hosea Morgan, Cecil Morgan, Henry Morgan, Sister Elizabeth Right, Sister-in-law Patricia Morgan, and is survived by niece Barbara "Arthur" Maybee. Nephew Calvin Jeremy Morgan, Three great nephews Joseph "Michelle" Pearson, Jacob "Shelby" Pearson, , and Calvin "CJ" Morgan One great great niece Ella Rose Pearson many cousins and wonderful friends.

Funeral committal services will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 11am.
