Gaynor Warren Hangen
June 18, 1932 - October 11, 2021
Born on June 18, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio; passed away on
October 11, 2021 peacefully in his home in Grand Bay, Alabama.
During the Korean War, Gaynor served In the United States Navy
on the USS NOA DD 841 Destroyer.
Gaynor was a maintenance machinist at Campbell's Soup
Company in Camden, N.J. for 16 years. He moved to Grand Bay,
Alabama to be closer to his family and to purchase the farm of
his dreams. He was a tool and die maker for Continental Can
Company in Pascagoula, Mississippi until it closed. He later
worked for PEMPCo as a tool and die maker in Pascagoula,
Mississippi.
Gaynor is survived by Joan J. Hangen, his beloved wife of
68 years; two brothers, Tom/Linda Hangen and Jerry/ Stephanie
Hangen, and four children: David/Debbie Hangen, Richard
Hangen, Sandra/Robert Floore, Scott/Ida Hangen. Twelve
Grandchildren: Matthew/Grace Hangen, Dawn/Brian Fisackerly,
Catherine/Chad Mossak, John/Mary Beth Hangen, Robert/
Shelby Hangen, Mary/Freddy Avera, Ashley/Brad Veazey,
Jessica/Ben Catchot, Kristen/Ryan Otto, Michael Hangen,
Andrew Hangen, Stephanie Hangen and 16 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on October 15, 2021 at
Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held
on Friday from 10:30 - 11:00 am Family; 11:00 - 12:00 pm for
everyone - followed by a Chapel service at 12:00 pm. Interment
will be following the Chapel service at Mobile Memorial Gardens
Cemetery.
