Geannie Scallan

Geannie "Can" Scallan, 95, passed away on April 30, 2024. Geannie was born on December 29, 1928 as the 11th child of Nathan and Estelle Williams. She grew up in Monroe and Mobile Counties in Alabama, but was a long-time resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana before moving back to Mobile. "Can", as she was affectionately known, worked a short time in retail before dedicating her life as a full-time mom and housewife. 

She is preceded in death by her sons, Ronnie Bullard, Gregory "Peck" Howell, and her son-in-law, Jimmy "Whip" Domingue. 
Geannie is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Howell of Mobile, Beverly Domingue of New Orleans, Donna Howell of New Orleans; son, Jett Scallan of Knoxville; and her precious puppy Larry. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. 

Her family will honor her memory with a funeral service on Monday May 6, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday May 6th from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
