George Clover
George Berry Clover, 80, passed away at home Thursday, December 19, 2019. He was a native of Gulfport, MS and resident of Mobile, AL. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sharron Ladner Clover; his oldest son Brett Clover and his wife, Cheryl; his son Bart Clover and his wife, Durenda; and his daughter Mary Clover Kuy and her husband, Dararith; his loving grandchildren, Jacob Clover; Kaitlin Clover; Nick Clover; Margaret Clover; Victoria Caszatt and her husband, Gage; Katharine Lindquist, Jonathan Lindquist; Lance Kuy; Annelise Kuy; Vania Kuy; Claire Kuy; brother in-law, Gerald Ladner; nephew Todd Ladner and his wife, Kim; as well as three great nieces. George was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius and Dorothea Clover, and his sister, Dorothy J. Clover. George was born March 22, 1939 in Gulfport, MS and was a graduate of Jackson Central high, class of 1957. He graduated from Devry Technical Institute in Chicago, IL. He served in the Army reserve before being honorably discharged and working in the telephone, oil & gas, nuclear, and chemical industries. He retired from the DuPont Chemical Company in 2008. George was a lifelong and founding member of Covenant Christian Church, whose love for God and laughter was felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a devoted prayer warrior and was on numerous prayer teams including being the leader of the storied senior citizen group, Jubilee. His passions were studying the Word and tinkering with varying technical projects. Visitation services will be held December 27, 2019, 11:00 am at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home followed by services at noon from the funeral home chapel. Interment will also be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
