JORDAN
George Lee Jordan, passed away peacefully on Mar. 10th, 2017. George is preceded by his wife Mary, and son Bill, his surviving children are, daughter Deborah Geiger, and son James, as well as 6 grandchildren. He was an Army veteran, a Master Sergeant, and served his country with honor in Korea. He retired from Scott Paper after 31 years of service, and he and Mary enjoyed many trips in their motor home over the years. A Life Well lived because he gave to so many people, in more ways, and never expected anything in return. He coached baseball for many years and showed young men how to be honest hardworking people in life, no matter who won the game. He was a mechanic by trade but, also a plumber, electrician, carpenter, brick mason, and fisherman, there wasn't much he could not do. Above all he was a Christian who Loved his wife married 63 years, and his family and his many friends. He was a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church for 57 years, and was always willing to help the Church whenever he was called. He touched many lives and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers please make donations to his Church family at Kingswood UMC. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 12 noon, March 15, 2017 in Mobile Memorial Gardens, with Military Honors. Visitation will be at the funeral home starting at 11am.
