George Irvin Jordan, Sr., 68 of Daphne, AL, passed away on Monday at home. George was born and raised in Mobile and attended Ben C. Rain High School. He was preceded in death by his father, Irvin Jordan and mother Frances P. Jordan. George worked for White's Imports and Hamp Griffin Volvo, Subaru for over 25 years. He started Jordan Automotive Inc. in August of 1991 to the present time. George loved to fish with family and friends and tournament fished SKA for seven years. He sponsored many Little League and Special Needs Teams. He was very well respected in the automotive business by his customers and vendors, as well as the Deep Sea Fishing Circuit. He is survived by his wife Earline Cooper Jordan; sons, George (Rochelle) Jordan, Jr., and Michael Jordan; grandchildren, Justin Jordan, Tyler Sayne, Brandon Jordan and Lauren Jordan; brother, Kenny Jordan and sister, Dianna (Earl) Freeman and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 2 pm. Visitation will start at 1 pm. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Alabama Gulf Coast Reef & Restoration Foundation or to St. Jude Children's Cancer Research Hospital.Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
