George Peaden was born May 12, 1928, in Bagdad, FL. He passed on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 2021, in the Covenant Care Unit at Providence Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his wives, Delores Thornton Peaden (27 years), Nell Hayles Peaden (41 years), parents, George & Mattie Peaden, brother & sister-in-law, Reuben & Bobbie Peaden, and sister, Elaine Bryant Glanzman, granddaughter, Shelley Marie Luse.
Those left to cherish George's memory include his sister, Kathy Howard of Pensacola. Two sons, Robert E. Pearson, Jr. (Gaynell) Metairie, Louisiana, Joe (Noi) Schreiner Mobile. Four daughters, Pam Cowart of Houston, Texas, Judy (Bob) Luse Mobile, Jan (Jack) Turk of Douglasville, Georgia & Jean (Wayne) Rowe Mobile. His grandchildren, Brett Pearson (Honey) Madisonville, Louisiana, Robert (Robby) E, Pearson, III New Orleans, Louisiana, Mike Philips, John Phillips Houston, Texas, Michele (Chris) Estes Mobile, Joseph (Lindsey) Schreiner Mobile, Crystal Cowart Houston, Texas, Kampol Pannoi Mobile, Patrick (Bevin) Luse Hot Springs, Arkansas, Tiffany (Brad) Stacy Bayou La Batre, Jake Turk Atlanta, Georgia, Jana (Matt) Campbell of Cumming, Georgia, Maggie (Daniel) Jamerson Memphis, Tennessee Mindy (Greg) Eldridge Mobile, Macy (Robbie) Lawshee Mobile, Melody Rowe Memphis, Tennessee, Matthew Rowe Mobile, Marie Rowe Mobile, Mallory Rowe Irvington and 25 Great-grandchildren.
He retired from International Paper as a millwright with thirty-five years of service. He was an United States Air Force veteran. After retirement he drove an eighteen-wheeler for fifteen years. He truly enjoyed making runs to Canada & all over the United States. He was a strong, hard-working, loving man who was dedicated to his family. His grandchildren & great-grandchildren were his world. He loved each one dearly. He was a devoted member of the Regency Church of Christ who loved Jesus his savior. We are thankful for the gift of his life and the countless people he touched over the years. For the last six years of his life he has been a resident of University Oaks.
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 1:00 pm to 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
