George Wise

George Daymon Wise was born in Sherwood, Tennessee May 2, 1924 and died on April 14, 2020. He is survived by his loving wife of 74 years Juanita Wise, daughter Deborah Sennett, son-in-law Marion Sennett, brother James Wise (Annette) and many nieces and nephews. Prior to his marriage he served in the United States Navy during WWII where he spent much of his time in Guadalcanal. After the war he attended college and taught Agriculture in Tennessee before moving to Mobile, Alabama. Here he worked to genetically improve the dairy and beef industry for over sixty years. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Lear Wise, sisters: Daisy, Ethel, Elizabeth, and brothers: Lawrence, John, Robert, Howard, and Roy Wise. Due to the Coronavirus a graveside service was held by Mobile Memorial Gardens at Pine Crest Cemetery West on Snow Road and attended by his immediate family.
