Georgia Alyce (Hunt) Wilson, age 72, of Mobile, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 10, 2020. Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Alyce was a lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama. She graduated from Vigor High School and went into the nursing field, working at USA Medical Center and Premier Medical. She loved traveling with her husband, Walter, and their adopted wolves along the way. Alyce was devoted to her family and friends and was a very loving, giving, and welcoming person to all and she loved life.
Alyce is survived by her daughter, Tracy Alyce Allen; grandsons, Kaleb Allen, Jonah Allen, and Simon Allen; sister, Darrie Walters; brother, Tommy (Nina) Hunt; step-children, Jan (Tony) Montoya, Walt (Bonnie) Wilson, Cindy Wilson, Lynn (Richard) Rone, Anne Wilson Cosey, and Keith (Sheryl) Wilson; step-grandchildren, Chad Johnson, Amber Pierce, Cherie Self, Sarisa Deon Benjamin, Zack Rone, Dalton Rone, Jackson Wilson, Jordan Wilson, Brittany Lynn Brooks, Joshua Winsett, and Danielle Phillips; nephew, Bryan Hunt; nieces, Tandy Hunt Scott, Sheila Hinton Howell, and Sherry Hinton Neuman; lifelong friends, Judy and Doug Smith; and many other family members and friends.
Alyce was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Wilson; parents, George Thomas Hunt, Sr. and May Bell “Mable” Hunt; step-grandsons, Shawn Winsett and Shane Winsett; nephew, Wiley Hayes Hinton; and niece, Sasha Hunt Blakely.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 17, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Those planning on attending can meet in the west parking lot at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home to join the procession to the gravesite.
