Gerald Lee "Jerry" Husby, a lifetime resident of Theodore, AL, died Saturday, October 1, 2016. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Jerry served as a Corporal in the US Air Force and retired from South Central Bell after 25 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Richard Husby and Flora Fern Heinselman Husby; his brother, Albert "EO" Husby; his daughter, Sharon Husby Kicklighter; and his grandson, Bruce Kicklighter. His survivors include his wife of 66 years, Emogene McCluer Husby; his daughter, Jerri Husby (Mark) Meador; his brothers, Freddie (Margaret) Husby and David Husby; his sister, Gloria Husby Lindholm; granddaughters, April (Pat) Farris and Jaime (Joey) Coulson; great-grandson, Paytyn Tolin; great-granddaughter, Kaytlyn Coulson; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
