Gladys Bernice Zimlich
Mrs. Gladys Zimlich, a 98 year old native of Mobile, Al, went home to be with the Lord and Savior and her beloved husband Bernard H. Zimlich, Sr. on Sunday July 15th, 2018. Mrs. Zimlich lived this life to the fullest and will be sadly missed by her friends and family she left behind. Gladys was the mother to one son Bernard H. (Linda) Zimlich, Jr., four daughters Delores Z. (George) Majors, Deborah Z. Sandru, Linda Z. Johnson, Darlene Z. (Curt) Daughdrill.
Mrs. Zimlich was grandmother of eight: Patricia (Dewayne) Bankester, George (Sarah) Majors, Melissa (John-Paul) Robert, Monica (Jim) Shell, Temmie Gunter, Danalynn Husky, Jamie Marks (deceased), and Roy (Shae) Tolbert, Jr. Mrs. Zimlich was also great-grandmother of 20 with four great-great grandchildren
Gladys was an avid Bingo player and shared her passion with both family and friends as often as she could. Gladys loved to take pictures to preserve the laughter and fun for all to remember. Not one to let life's troubled times keep her down for long; she persevered to set an example of how to live a peaceful and happy life.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that a donation be made to "Covenant" at West Florida Care Center 8383 North Davis Highway Pensacola, Florida 32514.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to the service. Interment will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilefuneralservice.com
