In Loving Memory of Glenda Carole Welch (August 8, 1938 - November 12, 2023)

Glenda Carole Welch, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and devotion.

Glenda was born on August 8, 1938, and from the very beginning, she exuded a spirit of warmth and love that would define her remarkable life. Her journey was one of selfless devotion to her family and others as she dedicated her life to spreading the Word of God as a Christian missionary in Africa alongside her husband Rev. Ralph Welch.

In the communities she served, Glenda was a constant beacon of hope bringing the message of faith to those whose lives she touched while embodying the very essence of love and care. Her mission was not just about words but about the transformative power of a loving and generous heart. Glenda's tireless efforts touched the lives of countless individuals, and her impact resonates in the hearts of those who were privileged to know her.

Beyond her missionary work, Glenda was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Her family was a testament to the love she cultivated, her home serving as a constant sanctuary of warmth, acceptance, and kindness.  As we mourn the loss of Glenda Carole Welch, let us also celebrate the richness of her life and the enduring impact she had on the world. Glenda Welch was predeceased by her husband of 59 years Rev. Ralph Welch; her parents, Robert Ludke and Katherine Ludke; her sister MaryLou Howell, and brothers Joe Ludke and Bobby Ludke.

She is survived by her son Rev. Brent Welch (Gigi), her daughter Stacy Lumpkin, (Mike); grandchildren, Haley and Bradley Lumpkin, Andrew Welch (Whitney), Isaac Welch (Lizzie) and Shayna Welch; great grandchildren, Ansleigh, Ashton, Blakely Lumpkin, Adalyn, Lilah and Maeson Welch and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to celebrate Glenda's life will be held on November 16, 2023 at 12:00 pm at Solid Rock Church of God in Tanner Williams, AL with visitation beginning at 11:00 am.
