Elbert ‘Glenn’ Isbell, 67, passed away peacefully at his home on August 10, 2019, in Mobile, AL. Glenn was born on October 4, 1951, to Reverend Elbert Ross Isbell and Leola Inez Musick Isbell in Grove Hill AL. He was a graduate of Citronelle High School as well as part of the Mobile College Class of 1970. Glenn retired from UPS after 28 years of service before working as an instructor at the Premier Driving School here in Mobile. He went on to work as a technician at the Severn Trent Environment Lab. Glenn was an active member of Moffett Road Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. He also shared a passion for golf, aviation, history, and the piano. He was a beloved father, husband, and friend.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Vernon Joseph ‘Joe’ Isbell. His survivors include his wife of 41 years, Dottie R. Isbell; his children Kevin (Emily) Isbell, Brian Isbell, Tracy Isbell; grandson Carter Isbell; sister Elaine (Vance) Holm; sisters-in-law Brenda Isbell, Christie (Jerry) Maughon; mother-in-law Mary Rognsvoog; nieces Jasmine (Aaron) Sowder, Ashleigh Darawich; and nephews Allen (Kyrstie) Holm, Joseph (Erin) Isbell, Josh Isbell.
The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, and other staff of the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center System for his care.
