In the 78 years that he was alive was so many things to so many people. A friend who shared many laughs. A Marine who fought for his country. A brother to be looked up to. A husband who loved his wife. A deputy who protected his community. A father who always put his children first, and a "GRANDAN" that adored his grandchildren. Glen has lived multiple lives. He was a Recon Marine in Vietnam. He was a proud member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 441. Glen was a survivor of a tragic accident while on duty as a deputy sheriff in 1993. Glen passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 6, 2024 surrounded by his family and went on to his forever home. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sheila White, son, Matt White (Candice), daughter, Dawn Ellison Pasley (Marty), grandchildren, Blake, Riley and Emma Grace. He also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Nan Johnson, nieces, nephews and relatives in Wisbech, England. Funeral services will held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 2pm. The family will receive friends from 1pm until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice team who provided such personal care to Glen for so long. We are forever grateful for their incredible team.
