Guillermo Antonio Gomez, a native of Nueva Granada, El Salvador and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Friday, February 24, 2017 at the age of 73. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church; a retired hotel manager; loved hosting and entertaining gatherings; was a "Mr. Fix It" to anyone who needed a repair and loved spending quality time with his family and many friends. He touched many lives, was loved by everyone who knew him and will be greatly and sadly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Atilio Humberto Gomez and Francisca Isabel Rendon Gomez; and his sister, Yolanda Mixco. His survivors include his wife, Maria Luz Gutierrez Gomez; his son, Guillermo E. (Georgesse) Gomez; one daughter, Claudia Suarez; his sister, Gladys VanGerrevink; five grandchildren, Kelly, Marcela, Rafael and Danielle Gomez and Damian Magel; the mother of his son, Sonia Delgado; other relatives and many friends. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM from St. Dominic Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church Monday beginning at 10:00 AM.
