A native of Buckatunna, MS and longtime resident of both Mobile, AL and Lucedale, MS passed away on August 22, 2015 in a local hospital. A loving mother, homemaker and faithful member of Union Baptist Church in Lucedale, she leaves behind a legacy of Christian faith and love for her family and friends. Born February 14, 1933 she is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ida Crane; brothers and sisters, Wymon (Osteen) Crane, Henry (Ouida) Crane, Tony (Manda) Crane, Earl (Lucille) Crane, Eliza (William) Hamilton and Allie Dean Crane; husband of 64 years, JM Summers and son Steve Summers. She is survived by her brother, Cleavy (Barbara) Crane; sisters Marrell (Creel) Rigney, Myrtle (Robert) McCrary; children Teresa Summers, Calvin (Tina) Summers and Janet (Danny) Langley; grandchildren, Matt (Dana) Dearmon, Caryn (James) Kersh, Wm. Zachary (Sonia) Summers, Jacob (Joanna) Summers, Ryan Nolen, Ethan (Anne Elise) Summers, Joshua Nolen, Nicholas (Meagan) Summers, Rachel Nolen and Christopher Summers; great grandchildren, Brady and Logan Kersh, Marshall, Wesley and Abigail Dearmon, Ronin and Isabella Summers; brothers in law, JV (Dot) Summers, Albert (Jeanene) Summers and sister in law Alice (Carter) Brewer; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday, August 28, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon followed by funeral services in the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family would like to offer a special thanks to the nursing staff of Providence Hospital's Compassionate Care unit and special friend Angie Preston for their love and compassion.
