Haldon Leroy Nesbitt Jr. was born July 28, 1942 in Fremont, OH and left for his heavenly home on September 5, 2020. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Shirley Ruth Moye Nesbitt; his parents, Ruby Elizabeth Avera Nesbitt and Haldon Leroy Nesbitt Sr. and his brother, Michael Nesbitt. He leaves behind his daughters, Diana R. Roberts (Joe Roberts) and Pamela Michelle Cooke; his brother, Hillman Nesbitt; three grandsons, Dustin Zachary Roberts, Raymond Cooke and Zander Cooke; one granddaughter, Christina Hope Roberts; three nieces; two nephews; other relatives and friends. He was a Master Mason and Past Master of Guy T. Smith Lodge #883 Hollinger’s Island, Noble of the Abba Temple Shrine of Mobile, AL, was in the Keystone Cops Unit, and was Past Worthy Patron of The Eastern Star Hollinger’s Island Chapter 480. He served in the Alabama Army National Guard and was a former employee of the City of Mobile Fire Department. He loved fishing, cruising, traveling and never met a stranger. He had a personality that could light up a room. He will be deeply missed and, although we are sad, we know he is at peace with the Lord and his beloved Shirley. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
