Harold Dewayne Vaughn

Harold Dewayne Vaughn, age 75, and resident of Grand Bay, Alabama, passed on October 12, 2023. He was born in Gadsden, Alabama, on July 25, 1948, to his loving parents Ralph and Betty. Harold graduated from Pascagoula High School in 1966.  He was drafted by the Army in 1968, served in Vietnam through 1970 and was a Decorated Vietnam Vet.  In 1973 Harold re-enlisted in the Army, serving in Saudi Arabia and Germany until 1979.  Following his return home he married the love of his life, Mila, and worked as a warehouse coordinator for Signal International until her retired.  Harold was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Grand Bay. When he wasn’t hard at work or in church, Harold loved to root for his favorite football teams, the University of Alabama and the New Orleans Saints.

Harold is preceded in death by; his father, Ralph J.T. Vaughn; sisters, Marilyn Vaughn Loftus and Deborah “Debbie” Vaughn; and nephews, Donnie Loftus and John Loftus.

Harold is survived by; his wife of 44 years, Mila Cainoy Vaughn; his mother, Betty D. Vaughn; his sister, Linda (Roy) Gasaway; stepbrother, Steve (Rhonda) Cauley; nephews, Ronnie Loftus, Roy “RJ” Gasaway, and Hunter Gasaway; niece, Stacy (Craig) DuFour; as well as numerous family and friends.

Memorial service for Harold Vaughn will be held Monday October 16, 2023, at 2 P.M. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:30 P.M. until service time at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
