Harvey Douglas Johnson, born July 20, 1932 in Coden, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the age of 84. Mr. Johnson was a longtime active member of First Baptist Church of Theodore. He is survived by his wife, Janie Hodge Johnson; daughter, Sabrina Johnson (John) Jaye; two granddaughters, Heather Renee' Jaye, Holly Jaye (Erick) Rivers; two great-grandchildren, Jaye and Lyla Rivers; special caregiver and sister-in-law, Mary Hodge Glass; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM from First Baptist Church of Theodore. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday beginning at 10:00 AM. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Covenant Care Hospice for their loving and dedicated care and family support.
